Partly cloudy and warm to hot conditions expected across parts of SA.

The South African Weather Service has forecast cloudy and warm to hot conditions, with some isolated showers and thundershowers across parts of the country. A fire danger alert has been issued for three provinces. 

Fire danger warning 

Extremely high fire danger conditions are expected over the north-eastern parts of Northern Cape, western parts of Free State, as well as southern parts of North West province. 

Weather in your region 

Gauteng will be cloudy in the east, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme. 

Morning drizzle and fog patches are expected over the escarpment of Mpumalanga, otherwise it will be cloudy and cool to warm with isolated afternoon showers and thundershowers. It will become partly cloudy in the west by the afternoon.

Limpopo will be cloudy in the east with morning drizzle over the escarpment, otherwise partly cloudy and cool to warm conditions can be with isolated thundershowers.

It will be fine and hot but very hot in the western parts of the North West, becoming partly cloudy in the extreme east in the afternoon with isolated showers and thundershowers.

The Free State can expect fine and hot conditions in the south-west, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm. Isolated showers and thundershowers are expected in the east where it will be cloudy in the morning.

It will be very hot in the north-eastern parts of the Northern Cape, otherwise fine and warm to hot conditions can be expected. Cool temperatures are forecast along the coast where it will become partly cloudy.  

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong southerly to south-easterly.

Cloudy conditions are expected in the eastern parts of the Western Cape at first, otherwise it will be partly cloudy and warm to hot but cool along the south coast. Isolated showers and rain are expected in the south-west.

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly to south-easterly.

The expected UVB sunburn index is extreme. 

It will be cloudy in the morning in the western half of the Eastern Cape, otherwise partly cloudy and cool conditions are expected with isolated showers and rain along the coast and adjacent interior in the morning. It will be warm in places in the north. 

The wind along the coast will be moderate to fresh easterly.

The eastern half of the province will be cold in places, otherwise it will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers and rain, except in the extreme north but scattered along the coast and adjacent interior. 

The wind along the coast will be fresh to strong easterly to north-easterly.

KwaZulu-Natal can expect morning fog patches in places over the interior, otherwise it will be cloudy and cool with isolated showers and thundershowers. Scattered showers and rain are expected along the coast and adjacent interior.

The wind along the coast will be moderate south-easterly, becoming moderate to fresh easterly to north-easterly by late morning.

The expected UVB sunburn index is low.
