I'm bursting with joy as I write this, and I can't wait to share why! 😊
Let me start by saying that I am absolutely in love with nature, especially on those glorious sunny days when everything seems to glow with happiness. Being surrounded by trees and greenery warms my heart. This Scottish summer, with its fresh, clean air, was a dream come true and I am so grateful to have spent it exploring with my special someone.
Loch Lomond is located in the council areas of West Dunbartonshire and Stirling. It is approximately 32 kilometres (20 mi) north-west of Glasgow.

One of our first stops was a viewing point where we could see the majestic Ben Lomond. It is one of the most famous Munros in Scotland and the view was absolutely breathtaking. We took tons of photos, made some fun videos and just enjoyed the beauty of the place.
We explored the picnic area, which had a lovely spot by the water and some great hilly trails. The old orchid field was like stepping into a wildflower paradise – so pretty and peaceful.
We also visited a tree planting area, which is part of their reforestation efforts. There was even a little table and chairs perfect for spending a cozy afternoon.

William Thomson Bridge
Crossing the William Thomson Bridge, we were surrounded by beautiful papyri which added to the enchanting atmosphere.
And then we came across a place that looked like something out of a fairy tale. It was quiet and perfect for relaxing or reading a book.

We had a fun encounter with a cheeky little bird. My partner joked that the little bird liked him more, which made us both laugh. There weren't many people around so we enjoyed every moment, even kissing in different places. 💏

The highlight of our day was arriving at Loch Lomond. This freshwater loch receives water from several rivers and flows into the River Leven. We enjoyed a lovely 30-minute walk through lush greenery, feeling the cool breeze and listening to the birdsong. Nature really has a way of making everything seem magical.
The view was beyond amazing! We played in the water and even planned to go back for a dip. We saw a family paddling out of the water. I took the photos at the spot where they had spread out their towels and it turned out to be a beautiful backdrop.

We enjoyed another beautiful view of Loch Lomond and Ben Lomond and as always I felt that no camera could truly capture the beauty we were experiencing – only our eyes could do it justice.
Since we were hungry, we ate some berries we had brought and continued to enjoy the views. We even followed a muddy trail in the hope of seeing cattle, but we only saw them as we were leaving.
Loch Lomond will always have a special place in our hearts. We feel so much joy and peace, and I hope this blog post brings you a little or more of that happiness too. Thank you for sharing this adventure with us and making this space so wonderful. You are all amazing! 💖
