The drift of Alvi is turning the 2025 competition season into a true gold fever, affirming its position as one of the most granted and respected wineries in South Africa.

The achievement of coronation of the farm is the prestigious prize for vineyard consistency in the National Wine Challenge (NWC), a rare honor that recognizes the vineyards that have delivered the 100 winning customs constantly over the full 15 years of history of the 15 years of the competition. In 2025, only three vineyards received this praise, with the drift of Alvi classified the number one property of South Africa with 62 unique winning labels.

Only this year, Alvi drift has already secured more than 85 medals in six main competitions of South African and international wines. The most prominent aspects include:

The highlight of the season occurred when Albertus Viljoen Chenin Blanc 2023 was appointed White Wine of the Year in the National Wine Challenge, along with his Top 100 list.

Internationally, Alvi drift won large gold medals at the International Wine and Spirits Awards and Catavinum World Wine & Spirits competition, with outstanding scores in the Decanter World Wine Awards, including 95 points for the 2017 Muscat Nectarinia Reserve.
