To commemorate the occasion, Chief Executive Chris Brownridge and the Board of Directors gathered to sign the final wooden louvre installed on the building’s exterior, marking the completion of the last of 1,745 precision-crafted red cedar panels. The Board had previously signed the final steel beam before it was lifted into place at the structure’s highest point, continuing a symbolic tradition that bridges past and present.

This ceremonial act echoes the values of co-founder Sir Henry Royce, who was known for personally inspecting and approving each component that bore his name. Each of the 1,745 louvres measures approximately 100 centimetres by 58 centimetres and has been meticulously installed to create both visual rhythm and functional shading. The building’s front elevation is similarly finished in cedar panelling, reinforcing a cohesive aesthetic language that reflects the brand’s appreciation for material integrity and considered design.

With the structure now sealed from the elements, Rolls-Royce specialist teams have begun the intricate interior fit-out. Among the most significant developments is the creation of a new Surface Finish Centre, including a state-of-the-art paint facility. Dedicated areas are also being established to accommodate the expanding scope of individual commissions.
