Perfect Winter Set and MIRA Slipper Boots by Viva Shoes

Perfect Winter Set and MIRA Slipper Boots by Viva Shoes

Some days are normal and others stay calmly with you. This was the last one.

My partner and I went for a drive, planned and unhurried, just one of our usual little getaways. But this time it felt different. It was Monday and that alone made it special. The roads were quiet, the park was quiet, and there were hardly any people around. It seemed like the kind of day that gives you room to breathe.

Before I share my full nature post, I wanted to talk about my outfit, because I really loved how everything turned out.

The place we visited was Muirshiel Country Park, located within the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park. I will soon talk more about the park itself, its history, its atmosphere and why it left such an impression on me. But first, a little drum roll for the ensemble.

I went a little outside my usual dress pattern and I loved it. I wore a skirt combined with a sweater, which is not my everyday combination, but it worked wonderfully. The brown knit jumper is from Marks and Spencer and the skirt is from Femme Luxe. I hadn't worn that skirt in a long time, maybe just once to work years ago, but it felt good to bring it back.

The jumper, on the other hand, is a family favorite. I wear it often because it fits perfectly into my everyday style. It's comfortable, easy to pair with jeans, and feels just like me. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you may remember the blue version of this same sweater I wore when I visited Hogganfield Lakethe day I took those soft, angelic photos by the water with the birds.

It's no secret that I love to look good, but comfort always comes first for me. Always. If something looks good but doesn't feel right to me, it simply won't last in my wardrobe. This outfit worked because it was comfortable, warm, and still felt carefully crafted.

Now let's talk about the shoes, because this is where things get interesting for me. This is actually my first time owning this style of shoe and I'm really happy to have given it a try. I put the MIRA Platform Fur Lined Slipper Boots in Chestnut, and they won me over instantly.
What I liked most is that these boots are not just about the looks. They are practical, warm and clearly designed with the real climate in mind. The built-in platform gives you extra height, which may seem like a small thing, but it makes a big difference when the ground is wet, cold, or uneven. It keeps your feet out of puddles and wet surfaces while feeling stable and secure.

The faux shearling lining is incredibly cozy. My feet stayed warm the entire time, without feeling stuffy or overheated. Inside, there's soft memory foam cushioning that makes walking easy and comfortable, even over longer stretches. The non-slip sole also gave me confidence, especially on slightly muddy or slippery paths.

I also really appreciate the design. The Aztec-inspired print adds character to the boots without being flashy. They feel elegant yet practical, which is exactly what I'm looking for.

I had already tried this type of footwear once, during my university days. A friend of mine had a similar style, although not from this brand. Hers were longer and, although they looked good, they didn't hold up well in the humid weather. As soon as the snow began to melt, his shoes would become soaked. That memory stuck with me and is one of the reasons I doubted this style for so long.

What I love about this particular pair is that the design clearly takes real-world conditions into account. They're made for cold, wet climates, not just indoor standing or quick trips. That consideration makes the difference.

They are also available in a wide range of sizes, which I always appreciate, and if you like to wear thicker socks in the winter, a larger size is a good option. I can easily see these making a great gift too, warm, comfortable and really useful.

I'm also looking forward to sharing my full nature post soon. This park has such a beautiful history and spending time there was grounding in the best way. There were moments, little details, and even some unexpected things that happened that I can't wait to share with you properly.

For now, this outfit and these boots were the perfect companions for a quiet Monday that became a very good memory. Sometimes it's the simple days, dressed comfortably and thoughtfully, that stay with you the longest.
