Nigeria is bleeding: Christians are being massacred

I came back from work today and couldn't even function. My heart is so heavy. I have no peace in my mind, only fear. Fear for my family. Fear for my friends. Fear for the people in Nigeria, especially Christians.

Before you rush into writing the comments, I need you to take your time and read this. Whether you are Nigerian or not, I beg you to understand so that you can help share this reality.

Christians in Nigeria are being killed. They are being killed. A genocide of Christians is currently taking place. Just yesterday, in Kwara State, they once again entered a church and killed people during a religious service. People are crying. They are targeting Christian gatherings; They are hunting people in the churches. They are trying to exterminate Christians in Nigeria.

Now, listen to me very carefully before you come here dismissing this as “American propaganda.” I am Nigerian, born and raised. I have lived there; My parents still live there right now. They are terrified for their lives. They are afraid to even go to church.

For those who don't know, Nigeria is a rich country where politicians and government officials completely consume and control all of its resources. Nigerian citizens do not have access to these resources. There is massive insecurity, lack of jobs and poverty everywhere, but our politicians are among the highest paid in the world. What do they use the money for? We don't know. Community leaders receive allowances meant to help people, but they share the money among themselves while communities remain in abject poverty. There are communities that have been wiped off the map, but the government still sends allocations to these non-existent communities just to steal the funds.

I want you to understand the situation before you say, “The United States is simply coming to take over Nigerian resources.” You should know that the average Nigerian citizen does not have access to those resources anyway. We haven't tasted the benefits of that wealth in years.

So if foreign powers are going to help keep Nigerian Christians alive and take away those resources in the process, THEN SO BE IT.

Before they come for the resources, we want to be ALIVE. We want to be alive just to breathe. Our politicians have already destroyed Nigeria; They have sold their own people. Greedy monsters. They are already selling these resources to foreign countries and powers that illegally extract and destroy nature in Nigeria. They borrow money on behalf of the Nigerian people and share it among themselves. So let's stop saying this issue is about outsiders wanting our wealth; it is about exterminating Christians so that Nigeria can become only a Muslim nation and evil, greedy and cold-blooded politicians.

I am so devastated and so angry. It is necessary to understand the level of betrayal. These politicians are financing the bandits. They are financing terrorists. A bandit leader was caught in the house of a Nigerian politician and was not even arrested; nothing was done.

The bandits are online right now. You can go to TikTok and watch them. They make videos dancing, unmasked, showing off sophisticated weapons and ransom money they raised by kidnapping innocent citizens. They openly threaten the Nigerian army on video. How do they obtain the data? How come networks don't track their locations?

And what does the government do? They say they need peace talks. This week, a Nigerian general was assassinated on video, while bandits mocked the nation and politicians discussed “negotiating” with them and allocating funds to these killers. Do you want to pay the people who have destroyed the lives of mothers and fathers, who have killed thousands of Nigerians? Nigerians will NEVER accept such an insult. We will never negotiate with terrorists.

Reports circulating in the media indicate that the army general went into hiding and sent his location to seek help; However, moles within the military leaked this information, allowing them to find his hideout, capture him, and murder him on video. You can watch the sad video online; You will cry for that man.

It's absolute madness. People can't go out. Schools are closing because they are kidnapping underage girls from their classrooms and raping them, grooming them to become wives against their will.

The system is rigged against victims. A poor man can steal a live chicken and rot in prison for ten years because an influential man put it there, but bandits who have killed hundreds of thousands are offered “rehabilitation.” They are putting these “repentant” terrorists into the army!

Now our real soldiers are shouting in videos. They are being ambushed and killed because there are moles in the military (those “rehabilitated” bandits) who leak their location to terrorists. How can Nigerians trust the military when the government is integrating into its ranks the very people who are persecuting us?

Nigeria has been bleeding for years. The situation got exponentially worse under President Buhari, when they started killing farmers so that people from different communities couldn't even farm anymore, and now under President Tinubu, an uneducated thug whom Nigeria did not elect to be president. They know exactly what is happening. They provided the weapons. Some government officials use certain bandits to manipulate elections, promising them rewards and providing them with weapons in exchange.

So when you read this post, don't you dare come here and share fake news that this is a lie or just propaganda. Christians are dying. My parents are in Nigeria and can testify to this.

If you think that because you read snippets of news that you know Nigeria, you know nothing. If you don't know what's going on, shut up. If you don't know what to say, shut up. If you don't want to support Christians or Nigerians who are asking for help and who are being massacred, shut the fuck up.

But don't use your voice to spread false information while my people are dying. American propaganda, you say? That? Use your voice to speak the truth: Christians are under attack in Nigeria. The Nigerian people need help.
