Revenge was served cold in Las Vegas on Saturday night when Francis Ngannou knocked out Stipe Miocic in the second round of UFC 260 to become the new heavyweight champion.
Ngannou stopped the bout with a brutal punch 52 seconds into the second round after landing a series of punches on Miocic. He finished the assignment with a brutal left hand which made way for Miocic to crash to the ground.
The 34yr old Cameroonian becomes the UFC’s third African champion, with Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya the welterweight and middleweight champions respectively.
