Jesus Revolution It is a film that must observe for everyone, but especially for any young person who feels lost and ask many questions.
I used to ask me which people, especially young people of my age or minors, are thinking. Particularly when they dress in a certain way, they speak impolifically or do strange or even irritating things. Some resort to drugs, and even when it clearly takes away life and purpose, they remain deeper and deeper. And I would ask me: how can they not control their actions? Don't you think it would be better to take control of your life?
But after looking Jesus Revolution In Netflix, I came to understand that some people have deep questions in their hearts. They are looking for answers, but they have no one to help them find those answers. Some only look for a group, a friend or a place for calling home. Some just want someone to believe in them, someone to feel seen and show a little care. That void inside pushes them to do things that help them escape the world in which they are, so many turn to drugs, fall into the pressure of the companions or end in jail.
There are so many people out there looking for a purpose, for something satisfactory. That is why some fall into bad relationships. Even when things don't work, they stay, waiting for you to change. It is as if they were in a search to reach the next stage, even though they are suffering.
But I will tell you this: even if you feel that your life is completely empty, they only see Jesus. He will fill you. You will begin to live a purpose of purpose. All those questions, some that you know how to do, some that you don't even know how to express in words, and even those you have asked before, but never felt satisfied with the answers, you can answer them.
This is something that I know personally and I have tried for myself. When you ask Jesus, when he prays, he answers. God not only answer prayers, answer questions.
And what makes this Netflix movie even more beautiful is that it is based on a real story. It tells the story of one of the greatest spiritual movements of American history, when Jesus' movement extended throughout the country. Millions of hippies and young people came to Christ, and changed lives everywhere.
Jesus Revolution The powerful story of a real movement tells that it took place in the late sixties and early seventies. It is a time when a wave of young people, the eldest, search, ask great questions, were found in southern California trying to make sense of life through freedom, self -expression and all kinds of roads. In the midst of all that, Greg LaurieOnly a teenager, crosses with a bold preacher of the street called Lonnie Frisbee and a shepherd, Chuck Smith, who was struggling to connect with the new generation.
Together, they did something that nobody expected: they opened the church doors to the same people in which others were closing them. What began as a small act of faith and love became one of the greatest spiritual awakenings in the history of the United States, what many now call the movement of Jesus. This film captures that moment when God used common people to cause something extraordinary throughout the country.
Directed by Jon Erwin and Brent McCorkle, and based on Greg Laurie's own story, the film shows how the three men: Agg, LonnieAnd Chuck, each came from different origins, but were gathered by the same yearning and purpose. It shows Greg's trip from pursuing wrong things, such as drugs and empty fun, until discovering something real in Christ. It shows how Chuck went from being a strict pastor with an empty church to someone who welcomed hippies with open arms. And it shows how Lonnie, passionate and a bit wild, was used by God to take the gospel to the streets.
Although critics had feelings found, this film had a great impact, winning much more than their budget and playing lives worldwide. It is not just a story, it is a reminder that God still moves at the time when people are suffering and looking. The most powerful part? It really happened. The baptisms in the ocean, the crowds under the great tent and the magazine Time that cover the revival, everything is real history.
And what is even more significant is to see how, through ups and downs, rupture and healing, God still took out the beauty of everything. Greg finally became a shepherd and founded Harvest Felowship. And although Lonnie and Chuck had their differences, the film ends with a beautiful reminder that God used them in a powerful way, and the movement that helped Spark is still changing lives today.
