Water is essential for our survival. Around two-thirds of the human body is made of water, and, according to an article shared by Harvard University, it takes a total water loss of just 4% to become dehydrated, while a loss of 15% or more could be fatal.

Simply put, dehydration occurs when we’re losing more fluids than we’re taking in. We’re constantly losing water throughout the day as we exert ourselves during physical activity, sweat, urinate, and defecate. But these fluids can be replaced by drinking enough water.
