Some great, some terrible, all wildly varied: Films you didn’t know had comic book origins

By: Ilan Preskovsky

There is something of a tendency among film critics, casual moviegoers and comic book fans alike to use the terms “comic book movie” and “superhero movie” interchangeably, but this is a total distortion of not just a particular genre but of an entire medium.
