FIRST TAKE | Springboks, SA cry tears of joy together after reaching World Cup immortality
Much to the delight of South Africans, the Springboks prevailed by a point and add to their titles in 1995, 2007 and 2019.
Naturally, social media went into a frenzy as the Boks lifted the Webb Ellis Cup:
Deon Fourie, the oldest Springbok debutant of all time, plays 77 minutes of the WORLD CUP FINAL at his emergency position of hooker. And he plays that on the winning team.Unreal. Absolutely unreal.

South Africa survive a 14-man All Black onslaught to survive in the RWC’s ugliest finalNo team has ever taken a tougher route to a RWC title, playing the world’s Nos 1 & 5 in pool, winning the QF, SF & final by a point each v Fra, Eng & NZTheir mentality is bullet-proof

If you are not South African, you can never understand what “World Cup Springboks” means to this country. Kolbe carried 65 million people on his shoulders here. Feeling like he let us down, but none of them did. Not a single one of them. #Springboks#RWCFinalpic.twitter.com/hdYC92YnCk
