At least 20 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed when an Israeli strike hit a residential building near the Kuwait Specialty Hospital in Rafah, as the besieged Gaza Strip suffered a spate of attacks throughout the day that killed dozens of people .
“The airstrike has completely leveled the residential building full of displaced people,” Al Jazeera correspondent Tareq Abu Azzoum said, reporting on the aftermath of Thursday’s Israeli attack near the Kuwaiti hospital.
“So far, rescue operations by ambulances and civil defense have continued to rescue people from under the rubble.”
Palestinian authorities said Thursday that at least 50 people were killed as Israel bombed every corner of the Gaza Strip, where more than 21,320 Palestinians have been killed and nearly 90 percent of the population displaced.
