Inside Delaire Graff Estate Garden and Luxury Lodges, spacious wet bars are found alongside custom furniture and decorative lighting, including white plaster chandeliers by Alexandre Logé and pieces from B&B Italia and Maxalto Collection. Sinclair Till’s hand-knotted wool and silk rugs beautifully complement the locally crafted dining tables, coffee tables with smoked glass tops and organic wood bases, as well as upholstered armchairs. Polished Marron Imperial and polished Crema Marfil marble completely renovated each bathroom. Private terraces feature outdoor furniture set next to a heated plunge pool, offering a sanctuary to relax and unwind.

Presidential lodges

Upon arriving at Delaire Graff Estate’s presidential accommodations, you’ll notice that the hotel has redefined the lobby floors with polished Crema Marfil marble and polished Imperial Brown inlays. Contractors also installed new bars and added ceiling pendants in blackened metal and beveled glass. Additionally, the designers have accentuated the dark wood floors with burnt orange and yellow accents, including hand-knotted silk and wool throw pillows and rugs within the living spaces.

Display tables, stools and custom hand-carved furniture take center stage in the living spaces, beautifully complemented by custom alabaster buns. Additionally, a large dining table surrounded by upholstered chairs adds charm to the home. Moving on, each of the two rooms features printed fabrics inspired by traditional South African prints on the seat upholstery and cushions. Additionally, decorative wall sconces by Holly Hunt complete the look of the rooms.

HŌSEKI

The interiors of the new Japanese restaurant HŌSEKI feature elegant indigo and copper tones bathed in warm amber light, juxtaposed with custom-made fabrics. Artisans at Coral Stephens in Eswatini hand-knit a custom tufted curtain with horizontal stripes in mohair. The iconic art installation, Swallows in Flight, created by André Stead, in collaboration with Lionel Smit, remains but brings even greater meaning to the space: in Japanese culture, birds have adorned prints, ceramics, cloisonné and ancient temples for centuries . with the swallow representing good luck.

Shared guest spaces at Delaire Graff Lodges & Spa

The Lodge reception at Delaire Graff Estate has introduced new architectural features to highlight the estate’s wine offering. Shared guest spaces feature 20th-century design, inspired by the surrounding landscape. Neutral textured materials have been reinvented using colors and patterned upholstery and fabrics. A private wine tasting room, exclusive to Lodge guests, provides the opportunity to taste an exceptional collection of wines grown and made on the estate, surrounded by hand-carved wooden walls. Instead, a stunning piece of deep red marble provides the ideal gathering spot.

David Collins Studio continues its celebration of local craftsmanship and traditional techniques steeped in heritage with pieces curated by South African artists and makers. The Indochine room houses a striking chandelier and a complementary center table crafted by ceramist Chuma Maweni. An intimate space, the lounge is welcoming and accessible while remaining spectacular and immersive – a place to relax and enjoy at the end of a day surrounded by impeccable comfort and luxury at Delaire Graff Estate.
