A Saturday spent in the Chatelherault rural park

A Saturday spent in the Chatelherault rural park

I have really enjoyed exploring Glasgow, and one of the things I enjoy most is the bus routes and being able to make quick decisions about the next stop or the route to my destination. I was never confident when it came to reading maps, but thanks to God and GPS, I have gotten much better at navigating with maps since I arrived in the UK.

I took a bus to Buchanan bus station and on arrival I saw a bus heading to Glasgow Central Station. The driver asked me if I had a train ticket. I said no and he let me on. He was a very kind person to me. I arrived at the train station, bought a return ticket for £6.50 and was directed to platform 16.

When I got to the platform, I remembered that I had been there before and I didn't like it. The smell was unpleasant and there was the sound of running water. From the look of it, it looked like an old train station. However, I got on the right train when it arrived and boy, did I have a great time travelling.

I was happy when the train left Glasgow Central Underground Station. By the way, I haven't mentioned that I looked so beautiful and was causing a bit of a stir. If you have any doubts, you can see my outfit here.

The internet wasn't working underground, so I just stared at the empty seats on the train and kept typing.

My destination was Chatelherault Country Park, but I had to stop at Chatelherault train station first and then walk 12 minutes, which I did using Google Live View directions. It was morning and at the time of writing this, it was 9:54am and I hadn’t eaten anything so I was also thinking about what to have for breakfast. I ended up buying tea for £3 and a slice of red velvet cake for £3.50 at an expensive place in the park, which wasn’t fun, lol.

I stumbled upon a bike competition, something I'd always wanted to see in person. There were different teams competing, including juniors and kids. The best part of my day was that it was a sunny day and I walked around the area following the paths, which led me to a water area with lots of beautiful stones. I love stones and trees, and it was one of the most beautiful natural places in Scotland that I've visited. I followed the path and went to see the old Avon Bridge, which was also lovely. Walking back to the competition area involved climbing up hilly paths, but it felt good to see it as part of my exercise. I also enjoyed my time in the green area, which was a well-cut grass field, perfect for picnics and sunny dates.
