Fujifilm South Africa has announced the last mirror-free camera in its X series line: the X-E5 in the style of the teleometer, which debuted four years after the X-E4. The X-E5 brings with it some serious specifications, including the 40.2 megapixel sensor X-Trans Cmos 5 HR of 40.2 megapixels 5 HR and the high-speed image processing engine X-Processor 5, the same that is inside the Fujifilm X-T5 Fujifilm camera.
Many see the X-E5 as the Ransfinder-style relative to the X100VI in demand, but unlike the X100VI, the X-E5 offers interchangeable lenses. It also includes a series of new features that are never seen before in the cameras of the Fujifilm X series, including a upper plate designed only from mechanized aluminum.
Fujifilm X-E5: a touch and precise design
When combining acute edges and plans with carefully curved surfaces, the X-E5 offers a different premium sensation when sustaining the camera, with tactile handling for an operation with one hand.
The upper plate also houses a recently designed film simulation dial, which has a precision cutting indicator window. Photographers can choose between different film simulations on the fly, each providing a particular appearance, based on the Fujifilm films stock, such as Velvia and Acros. Fujifilm fans will also be happy to learn about three positions in the dial that allow the savings of their own film simulation recipes.

It is important to note that the X-E5 is the first of the XE series that has a powerful mechanism for stabilization of images in the five-axis body, which offers up to 7.0 stops in the center and 6.0 stops on the periphery, very beneficial in low light situations. The camera now also includes a 1.4xy 2x digital teleconverter function, creating a range of framing options even when it is triggered with main lenses.
Exploring the joy of photography
According to Fujifilm's exploration of the joy of photography, photographers can select the retro and minimalist mode of “classic screen” when seeing the electronic viewfinder. Inspired by the appearance of the vision of old movies, this simplifies the information about the EVF to help photographers concentrate on the composition.
Even more helping to capture the exact moment, the new surround view shows the area outside the shooting field as a semi -transparent or line pattern according to the appearance relationship. This provides a shooting experience similar to an optical viewfinder, even though the X-E5 has an electronics.
And photographers will never miss a photo, since in regards to the automatic approach, the X-E5 incorporates an impressive automatic approach prediction algorithm for a reliable approach. Thanks to the powerful X-Processor 5, the automatic subject detection approach can accurately track a variety of topics. This includes animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, airplanes, trains, insects and drones, due to the incorporation of deep learning AI technology.
Finally, when it comes to videography, the compact and light body of the X-E5 admits the recording in the camera to an impressive 6.2k/30p 4: 2: 2 10 bits, as well as 4K/60p of high quality and 1080/240p.
