Aloft Aberdeen TECA Hotel Review: Key Features, Cleanliness, and Customer Service

Aloft Aberdeen TECA Hotel Review: Key Features, Cleanliness, and Customer Service

When I visit a hotel during my travels, I prioritize the lobby and the cleanliness of the room. Let me explain in more detail. The lobby brings the hotel to life when you first walk in and sets the tone for your stay. It should provide a relaxing environment to have breakfast or use a laptop, whether you are traveling for work or pleasure. I prefer a slightly calm environment with art and design as these elements keep the mind occupied. All of these factors contribute to the initial impression I have about the hotel.

When it comes to rooms, I prioritize clean and sanitized sheets, a spotless bathroom, a totally clean and odor-free room, and a good view.

Now, let me share my thoughts on this hotel. I thought it was quite nice, and I especially liked the room, which had two king-sized beds for my friend Ebube and me. Later, we were joined by Yinka, who had just graduated from college. Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen.

The hotel hallway was well kept and had a pleasant smell. The elevator was also pleasant to use, with no strange noises and easy to understand controls. The interior design of the elevator was quite striking.

The bathroom was spacious and the shower gel was great. They also provided us with conditioner and shampoo for our hair, although we didn't need them because we had braids.

The lighting in the room wasn't ideal. I prefer having the option to switch between dim and bright light, but the light was dim. The view was even better than I expected, though. It was an open view with green land, and the best part was watching planes fly through the sky.

As I am an early riser, I love to open the windows in the morning and enjoy the brightness of the day, with the sun's rays touching my face and all over my body. It makes me feel alive and very good. Who doesn't like the sun?

Sunlight enters the room with a beautiful view of the green landscape.

The lobby had a pool table, which was a nice addition for those who wanted to play. It also had a contemporary design that I liked.

The staff was friendly and the customer service was decent, but the food wasn't very good. It wasn't fresh and some dishes were poorly prepared. We ordered sweet potato fries and they were burnt. We had to ask the waiter to take them back, but they were brought back in the same condition, just rearranged. The chicken wings weren't very good either and the curry sauce wasn't to my liking. If this is how it usually tastes, I'm not going to order it again.

Overall, our stay was quiet and peaceful, with a smooth check-out process. This was probably the easiest check-in and check-out experience I've ever had. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was calm and relaxing. There was a bar in the hotel, which was a nice addition.

We stayed in the Aloft Double room, which includes two double beds. The room features a mini-fridge, free Wi-Fi, and a coffee/tea maker. Room sizes range from 26-27 square meters (280-291 square feet).

The room offers special perks such as evening bar service. It has a maximum occupancy of four people, with two double beds. Rollaway beds are not permitted, but cribs are permitted, with a maximum of one crib or rollaway bed.

Rooms also feature air conditioning, a non-smoking environment and the option of connecting rooms (available in some rooms). The bathroom is fitted with a shower and a hairdryer.

In-room furnishings and accessories include a chair, an in-room safe (available for a fee), a desk/work desk with ergonomic chair and electrical outlet, and an iron and ironing board.

For meals and drinks, your room offers coffee/tea makers and mini-refrigerators. Communication amenities include phones with voice mail and speakerphone, and complimentary wireless Internet access.

Entertainment options include Chromecast. Accessibility-wise, the room type offers disabled-accessible rooms and hearing-accessible rooms with visual alarms and notification devices for the door and phone, though it does not offer accessible rooms with roll-in showers.
