Angélique Kidjo is arguably one of the best performing artists on the international scene. It is appalling to see comments from fast fingers who were likely not even born when she won her first Grammy insulting a woman old enough to birth them. Is this what wokeness is all about?

Grammy nods are not necessarily about the streams , your following on social media or the venues you’ve sold out with the song up for nomination.  It is the MESSAGE your music conveys and VALUE it’s determined to hold when measured by those deliberating.  Mama Kidjo has paid her dues and rightly deserves her Grammy. If you don’t listen to her music, I understand but don’t discredit her craft.
